The Swedish government and opposition have agreed to work together on a budget proposal, averting an early election next year, dpa reported. "I am pleased and proud that we have united," Prime Minister Stefan Lofven said on Saturday in Stockholm. Lofven had called an election to be held on March 22 after his minority government this month lost a key budget vote in parliament. The far-right Sweden Democrats party voted with the centre-right opposition against the budget. Lofven's Social Democratic Party took over power with the Greens in October after eight years of conservative-led rule. -- SPA 15:32 LOCAL TIME 12:32 GMT تغريد
