King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain received, in the attendance of Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy commander-in-chief of the armed forces and First Deputy Premier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, at Al-Sukhair palace here today, Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as part of his current visit to Bahrain. During the meeting, Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz conveyed to the Bahraini monarch the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, wishing the Bahraini monarch good health and the people of Bahrain steady progress and prosperity. For his part, the King of Bahrain sent his greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his Crown Prince, wishing them good health and the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia steady progress and prosperity. The Bahraini News Agency, which carried the news, said the King of Bahrain, lauded during the meeting the firmness of relations between the two countries and the cooperation and coordination shared by them in a way that well serves the joint interests between the two kingdoms and their sisterly peoples. The Bahraini king also lauded the noble positions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, supportive to the Kingdom of Bahrain which embodies the firm ties binding the two countries over history. He praised the pioneering the role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in support of the march of the GCC and the positions adopted by the Kingdom, falling in the framework of the unity of the GCC ranks in the very interest of their peoples in the current time and in future to enable them face all challenges. During the meeting, a number of regional and international issues and incidents of mutual interest were discussed.
