As many as 76 defendants, members of a terror cell accused of committing many crimes against the nation and religion, were today sentenced to different terms of imprisonment. They face several accusations, including travel to civil war-hit and dispute-stricken areas abroad to take part in fighting there without permission, paying and receiving money to assist people who express wish to take part in the fighting, negligence of their national identification cards and other crimes. Accordingly, 75 Saudi and a Yemeni national were sentenced to prison terms ranging from ten months to 20 years. They were also given 30 days to appeal.
