Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf, Minister of Finance, said that the participation of Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, in the Group of Twenty (G20) Summit on behalf of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is an evidence of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's keenness on the strong and active participation in this important group which is the main economic forum for cooperation among its members. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on the occasion of the G20 Summit to be held tomorrow in Brisbane, Al-Assaf said that the Kingdom's participation in the preparatory meetings for the summit comes to wording orientations and commitments reflecting the general consensus among the members of the group, stressing the desire of the Kingdom during the meetings to clarify its positions and vision in order to maintain its interests. "The authorities in the Kingdom have developed a comprehensive growth strategy and will be published on the official website of the group. The Kingdom also presented in details its experience in structural reforms and macroeconomic policies which contributed in achieving a strong economic growth, especially in non-oil sectors," Al-Assaf said. He added that the Kingdom also highlighted trends of its economic policies through giving priority for spending on infrastructure and education with promoting job creation efforts to promote economic diversification and promotion of sustainable economic growth. The Minister of Finance stressed that the summit's agenda will discuss the latest developments in the global economy.
