Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif arrives in Berlin on Monday for a three-day visit focused on security and trade ties, officials said, according to dpa. Sharif is scheduled to hold meetings with German leaders including Chancellor Angela Merkel, the prime minister's political secretary Asif Kirmani said. Another official said Sharif would seek German investment in Pakistan's infrastructure, power and coal-mining projects. Kirmani said Sharif would also discuss with Merkel ways to enhance bilateral trade between the two countries. Security in both Pakistan and Afghanistan, as well as Islamabad's military campaign against militants, would also be part of the discussions, Kirmani said.
