The 177 people being monitored for Ebola symptoms in Texas were all cleared of the disease Thursday night. The monitoring began after a Liberian man, Thomas Eric Duncan, was diagnosed with the disease in Dallas, Texas, and infected two nurses that were treating him at Texas Presbyterian Hospital. Duncan died on October 8 and the two nurses, Nina Pham and Amber Vinson, were transferred to other hospitals to seek treatment, and were released after being cleared of the virus. All people that were in contact with Duncan following his arrival from West Africa to the United States were being monitoring for Ebola symptoms to stop the virus from spreading.
