U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Wednesday urged Burkina Faso to commence peace talks and return to a democratic process as a joint U.N. and African diplomatic mission continue consultations over the country's deteriorating security crisis. "The secretary-general reiterates his calls for inclusive dialogue to continue, and encourages all parties to reach an agreement for a peaceful and civilian-led transition as soon as possible," Ban's spokesman Stephane Dujarric told reporters at U.N. headquarters.
