At least seven people have died in Haiti following recent heavy rain, authorities said Tuesday. Civil-protection officer Nadia Lochard said three children were among those killed. She said they died in the capital, Port-au-Prince, after the wall of a home fell on them. Officials said four other people died in the northern city of Cap-Haitien, including three who drowned while attempting to cross a swollen river and another person who apparently was electrocuted. More than 1,200 homes in Cap-Haitien were flooded.
