One injured as Cologne police face off with anti-immigrant protesters

Police in the German city of Cologne deployed water cannon and pepper spray and used batons to push back a crowd of about 2,500 who had gathered to protest against Islamism and immigrants, dpa reported.
Police said they took their action after demonstrators began throwing
stones at them. At least one injury was reported.
