AlHijjah 29, 1435, October 23, 2014, SPA -- U.S. President Barack Obama Wednesday expressed optimism about the Ebola situation in his country as he met with his response team to the virus. Obama told reporters that numerous relatives of the only person to die of the deadly disease in the United States have been released from quarantine, and two nurses from a Dallas, Texas, hospital who were infected with the virus after treating that individual "seem to be doing better." The president also said that a World Health Organization (WHO) declaration that Nigeria is now Ebola-free was a good sign, as he sought to further allay the U.S. public's fears over a disease that has killed thousands overseas. "It gives you some sense that when caught early ... this outbreak can be stopped," Obama said of WHO's announcement. Obama made his comments after a White House meeting with his Ebola response team.
