AlHijjah 20, 1435, Oct 14, 2014, SPA -- U.S. airports in Washington, Chicago, Atlanta, and Newark will start taking temperatures of passengers arriving from three West African countries, federal health officials said Tuesday. Customs and health officials will use no-touch thermometers on the 150 people arriving daily from Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea to the United States to find passengers with fevers. Health officials said the entry screenings will help stop the spread of the Ebola virus that has killed nearly 4,000 in the West Africa region. Entry screenings started Saturday at New York City's Kennedy International Airport, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Washington Dulles Airport, Chicago O'Hare, Newark's Liberty, and Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson will start screenings on Thursday.
