A spokeswoman for the UN secretary-general said Thursday that the peacekeeper died in a crash after a convoy was attacked in the capital, Bangui. Vannina Maestracci said at least seven peacekeepers were injured. There was no information yet on the attackers. The death is the first for a U.N. peacekeeper in Central African Republic.
