AlHijjah 10, 1435, Oct 4, 2014, SPA -- One week after its eruption, three more people were confirmed dead at Mount Ontake in central Japan, authorities said Saturday. According to dpa, the three bodies were discovered after rescue operations resumed in areas near the peak of the volcano, located some 200 kilometres west of Tokyo, the Nagano prefectural police said. Rain caused the effort to be suspended on Friday. A fourth victim was discovered and presumed dead, but the fatalities are only confirmed after inspection by local doctors lower down on the slopes of the 3,067-metre volcano.
