Almadinah newspaper highlighted Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' appreciation and pride in Al-Azhar's granting to him an honorary doctorate in the field of humanities for serving Arab and Islamic issues and his order to renovate Al-Azhar mosque at the expense of the Kingdom. Al-Watan newspaper highlighted the results of the referendum on Scottish independence from Britain, saying it removed fears of its impact on the European economy.
