AlQa'dah 23, 1435, Sep 18, 2014, SPA -- The United Nation's World Food Programme (WFP) said Thursday it would have to cut aid programmes to Syria because of budget shortfalls, as dpa reported. "Unless we manage to secure significant funding in the next few days, I am afraid we will have no choice but to scale back our operation," Muhannad Hadi, WFP Regional Emergency Coordinator for the Syrian crisis, said in a statement. The Rome-based agency, which relies on donations, said it was facing a 352-million-dollar funding gap this year, including a 95-million-dollar shortfall for the Syrian crisis.
