AlQa'dah 16, 1435, September 11, 2014, SPA -- Germany's foreign minister says officials from the Group of Seven powers will meet later this month to discuss a political strategy against the terrorist Islamic State group, AP reported. Germany currently chairs the G-7, which also includes the U.S., Canada, France, Britain, Japan and Italy. Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier told lawmakers Thursday he invited his G-7 counterparts to a meeting when the annual U.N. General Assembly meets in New York the week after next. Steinmeier stressed the need for a political strategy against the terrorist Islamic State group, which has overrun parts of Iraq and Syria. He said that, in New York, "we will discuss together this political strategy with the Arab states."
