Almost 500 Nigerian soldiers fled into Cameroon after they clashed with Islamist terror group Boko Haram, dpa quoted the defense ministry as saying Monday. "I can't give the exact figure, but they should be 483 or 484 soldiers," defense spokesman Didier Badjeck told dpa. The soldiers crossed into Cameroon after fighting insurgents in the Nigerian border town of Gamboru Ngala, which is now said to be under Boko Haram control. In respondse to the incident, Cameroon's army "reinforced our position," said Badjeck.
