Korean Air Lines Co. said Thursday it will suspend flights to and from Kenya in what it says is a measure to prevent the spread of Ebola, AP reported. The South Korean flag carrier will stop operating flights between Incheon and Nairobi from Aug. 20, it said in a statement. Ebola has killed more than 1,000 people and sickened nearly 2,000 in its current West African outbreak that has hit Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Nigeria. No cases have been reported in Kenya. Nairobi's international airport is the main gateway for East Africa. Korean Air flies to Nairobi, which is its only destination in Africa, three times a week.
