Palestinian delegation leader to Cairo truce talks Azzam Al-Ahmed, who is also member of the Central Committee of Fatah Movement, announced his side's acceptance of Egypt's call for a 72-hour Gaza ceasefire starting from 08:00 a.m. local time on Tuesday. In a statement here this evening, Al-Ahmed said the Palestinian side has notified the Egyptian brokering side of the Palestinian acceptance of the Egyptian plan to bring about a sustaining truce. He added that, during the proposed forthcoming truce, the Egyptian mediators will hold separate talks with the Palestinian and Israeli sides to work for implementing the Palestinian demands of stopping the aggression and lifting the continuing siege on the Palestinian people.
