Israel's military operation in the Gaza Strip has so far killed 865 Palestinians and wounded 5,700 others, medics said on Friday. The Health Ministry in Gaza said press statement emailed to reporters that the 865 includes 208 children, 82 women and 40 old men, adding that the rest of the dead were adults. The statement said 5,730 Palestinians have been wounded during the offensive, which was in its 19th day on Friday. The number of wounded includes 1,779 children and 1,112 women and 230 old men. The number of dead and wounded is still growing as the Israeli air and ground strikes on the Gaza Strip continues, the statement said. Meanwhile, Ashraf Al-Qedra, spokesman for the Health Ministry said the death toll includes 12 Palestinians who were killed in separate airstrikes and by tank shelling on various areas in the Gaza Strip on Friday.
