Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of local, regional and international issues. Al-Yaum and Al-Madinah newspapers highlighted the Kingdom's call by its Deputy Permanent Representative at the United Nations on Wednesday for an effective international movement to convene a meeting of the signatories to the Fourth Geneva Convention to take steps to ensure the application of the Convention to the occupied Palestinian territory, including East Al-Quds. The papers considered this call as a proof of the Kingdom's political and diplomatic support for the Palestinian people, as well as an important step on the road to support the steadfastness of the people of Gaza Strip in the face of the brutal Israeli aggression on them.
