Brazil's 1994 World Cup winning captain Dunga has been appointed national coach for the second time, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CFB) said at a Tuesday press conference. According to dpa, the 50-year-old replaces Luiz Felipe Scolari, who resigned after guiding the hosts to a disappointing fourth-place finish in the 2014 World Cup. Brazil were thrashed 7-1 by Germany in the World Cup semi-final and lost 3-0 to the Netherlands in the third-place play-off. "I'm immensely happy to be back," Dunga told reporters. "We have to work hard to have the right to fight it out with the best. "We cannot believe that we are the best or that we have the best players." Dunga has signed a contract until the 2018 World Cup in Russia, though there is first the 2015 Copa America in Chile.
