The U.N. agency assisting Palestinian refugees issued an emergency appeal on Monday for $60 million to respond to urgent humanitarian needs of the people in Gaza. The U.N. Relief and Works Agency for Palestine refugees in the near east (UNRWA) reported that the number of Palestinian refugees who have fled the current Israeli military offensive exceeds 84,000. The International Humanitarian City (IHC) aid agency from Dubai sent an airplane carrying 45,000 mattresses, 10,000 blankets, and 220 hygiene kits to displaced families in Gaza. The airplane landed at the Marka International Airport in Amman. "We are very grateful for the immediate reaction and most generous response we received from Dubai and all the IHC members to our call for help.
