King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain received in Manama today President Mahmoud Abbas of Palestine who is currently on a state visit to Bahrain. During the audience, bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them in addition to the preparations for holding the conference of Palestinian ambassadors accredited to Arab countries scheduled to kick off in Manama tomorrow were reviewed. Speaking at the audience, King of Bahrain confirmed his country's support for the Palestinian cause and underscored the importance of reaching a comprehensive, permanent and fair solution that guarantees the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, the establishment of the independent Palestinian state with Eastern Al-Quds as its capital, the withdrawal of the Israeli troops from all Arab occupied territories to 1967 parallel, the prompt stoppage of settlements building, and commitment to the relevant international legitimacy resolutions and Arab peace initiative. He also denounced the Israeli practices in the Palestinian territories, including the brutal aggression against Gaza Strip. The King of Bahrain urged the world community to undertake its responsibilities to take the necessary actions to coerce Israel observe the international order and stop its aggression against the innocents.
