A total of 298 people were killed in the crash of flight MH 017 on Thursday in eastern Ukraine, Malaysian Airline's top Europe executive said. Huib Gorter, vice president for Malaysia Airlines Europe, said the passenger list included 154 Dutch, 27 Australians, 23 Malaysians, 11 Indonesians, six Britons, four Germans, four Belgians, three Filipinos and one Canadian, along with other nationalities not yet fully accounted. The plane took off from Amsterdam's Schiphol airport shortly after noon Thursday, and was to have arrived shortly after 6 am Friday in Kuala Lumpur, dpa reported.
