Arab Foreign Ministers announced their support for the Egyptian initiative for a cease-fire as a result of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, in order to save innocent lives and bloodshed, calling on all concerned parties to declare their acceptance of the initiative, their commitment to its provisions, and inviting regional and international parties to accept the initiative and create the necessary climate to sustain the truce. Following of the emergency meeting held at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo yesterday, Arab Foreign Ministers stressed their support for the State of Palestine's demand to put its territories under the international protection in order to end the occupation and enable the State of Palestine to practice its sovereignty, and for starting movement at the international level to support this demand. The Ministers called for an immediate stop of Israel's aggression on the Gaza Strip, and they shouldered Israel full responsibility for the human and material damage caused to all Palestinian people as a result of this brutal aggression. The statement issued by the ministers announced the commissioning of the Arab Group in New York to continue moves to seek a Security Council resolution that would force Israel to stop its aggression on the Gaza Strip as well as commissioning the Arab Group in Geneva to move at High Commission for Human Rights and Human Rights Council to hold a special session to discuss the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip. -- SPA 13:26 LOCAL TIME 10:26 GMT تغريد
