The Afghan election commission said Monday it will begin the audit of all ballots cast in the presidential election, dpa reported. The process was agreed to by both candidates and US Secretary of State John Kerry on the weekend after the loser, Abdullah Abdullah, rejected the initial results of the election. Those results Ashraf Ghani winner with 56.4 per cent of the votes, to 43.5 per cent for Abdullah. "The ballot auditing for Kabul province will start tomorrow morning," said Sharifa Zormati, a member of the election commission. She said that the votes from nearby provinces would be audited soon after arriving in Kabul. "The NATO air force will transfer the ballots from other provinces," she said. But another official doubted the audit would begin on time. "It most likely be delayed for another day and will probably begin on Wednesday," the official said on condition of anonymity. -- SPA 16:51 LOCAL TIME 13:51 GMT تغريد
