Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Argentine counterpart Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner met for nearly two hours Saturday and signed several bilateral agreements on the third stop of his Latin America visit, dpa reported. At a press conference after the meeting, Putin said Argentina was one of Russia's most important partners in Latin America. The two presidents signed agreements calling for closer ties in the areas of nuclear energy and media, as well as an extradition treaty.
