Two adults and four children were killed at a home in a Houston suburb on Wednesday, in a shooting that appeared to have stemmed from a domestic dispute, the authorities said. The police cornered the suspect, a man in his late 30s, in a nearby cul-de-sac in a tense standoff that lasted several hours, said Ron Hickman, the constable for Harris County Precinct 4. The suspect, who had not been identified late Wednesday, surrendered around 10 p.m., Mr. Hickman said. The shooting occurred around 6 p.m. Wednesday in Spring, about 25 miles north of downtown Houston. The gunman shot and killed the six people and wounded a 15-year-old girl, who told the police where the suspect was going next, Mr. Hickman said. The girl was taken by helicopter to a hospital for surgery.
