Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, received at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah yesterday evening the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross Peter Maurer and his accompanying delegation. At the outset of the reception, the Crown Prince welcomed the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross in the Kingdom, stressing the importance of humanitarian works in various humanitarian conditions, and the Kingdom's support for charitable works around the world. For his part, the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross expressed his happiness to visit the Kingdom and meet with the Crown Prince, praising the Kingdom's efforts and support for every charitable work in a time of peace and war, and its aid and care for the peopled affected by armed conflicts. During the meeting, they discussed issues of common interest. The audience was attended by Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, President of Saudi Red Crescent Authority; Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State, Cabinet's Member, and Chief of Crown Prince's Court and Special Advisor; and a number of officials.
