Forty-six nurses, Indian nationals working in a Tikrit, Iraq, hospital and trapped there during militant attacks, are safe and will return to India, UPI quoted Indian authorities as saying Friday.
The nurses were handed over to Indian officials in Erbil, a city in Iraqi's Kurdish region, and will be flown home to Kochi, India, Saturday, Oommen Chandy, chief minister of India's Kerala state, said Friday.
