The White House said Wednesday that the death of a Palestinian teenager is a "heinous murder" and called on the perpetrators to be brought to justice. National Security Advisor Susan Rice posted a series of tweets on Twitter in which she said that the United States is paying close attention to the investigation into the death of 17-year-old Mohammed Abu Khdeir. "U.S. sends condolences to his family and Palestinian people," Rice said. "Perpetrators must be brought to justice. U.S. [is] paying close attention to investigation." The Palestinian president has accused Israeli extremists of killing the teenager. His body was found in a Jerusalem forest, stoking fears that he was killed as revenge for the recent killings of three Israeli teenagers in the West Bank.
