Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the United Nations and Chairman of the Group of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation OIC Ambassador Abdullah bin Yahya Almoalimi handed a message on behalf of the Group to the President of the UN Security Council for the current month, Russian Ambassador Vitaly Churkin, strongly condemning the brutal aggression carried out by Israeli occupation forces in the occupied Palestinian territories and collective punishment measures against the Palestinian people, which are carried out while the whole world is watching and listening, under the pretext of the disappearance of three Israeli settlers in the occupied Palestinian territories. In a news conference last night at United Nations Headquarters in New York after the delivery of the message, Almoalimi said that the countries of the group demanded in its message the UN Security Council to shoulder all responsibilities in stopping the violence perpetrated by the Israeli occupying forces with condemnation of Israeli actions representing a clear violation of international law and the Geneva Convention and the resolutions of the Council of security and international norms and conventions. He stated that the countries of the Islamic Group stressed the need for urgent and quick action by the Security Council to stop the collective punishment and stop the use of excessive force against unarmed civilians and stop the practice of arrests of Palestinians by the Israeli occupation forces.
