Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA) led a number of strategic investment projects and initiatives during the year 1434/1435 AH. These projects and initiatives were carried out in the context of SAGIA's continuing quest to achieve a promising and attractive environment to create the right climate for attracting more value-added investment to the local economy and contribute to balanced economic growth for the regions of the kingdom. The total licenses issued by SAGIA during the year 2013 AD are (118) licenses with total funding exceeding 36.8 billion riyals. SAGIA's most prominent work covered several different areas including improving and developing the investment environment, raising competitiveness, establishment of a working group to develop investment procedures. SAGIA explained these facts and reviewed its other efforts in the field of investment in its annual report for the year 1435/1434 AH (2013). A copy of the report was received the Saudi Press Agency.
