Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of local, regional and international issues. On research centers at Saudi universities, Alriyadh newspaper called for utilizing the role of the specialized research centers in formulating policies and identifying strategies. On Iraq, Alsharq newspaper highlighted the kingdom's clear view on addressing the situation in Iraq. The newspaper said that the kingdom is considering what is happening in Iraq today as a natural result of the policy of exclusion followed by Nuri al-Maliki. The newspaper added that the kingdom stressed the need to expedite forming a government of national consensus to address the disastrous situation in Iraq because of the sectarian policies.
