A knee injury will force striker Luis Suarez to miss Uruguay's first game in the World Cup Saturday against Costa Rica, coach Oscar Tabarez said Friday, dpa reported. Tabarez said his team would be: Fernando Muslera, Maximiliano Pereira, Diego Lugano, Diego Godin, Martin Caceres, Walter Gargano, Egidio Arevalo Rios, Cristhian Stuani, Cristian Rodriguez, Diego Forlan and Edinson Cavani. Suarez is recovering from a knee operation that he underwent in Montevideo May 22 and his absence against Costa Rica was expected. It is hoped he will be fit for Uruguay's second game, against England June 19. Another change in the team is the inclusion of Espanyol striker Cristhian Stuani, who has caught the eye in warmup matches and has pushed Southampton's Gaston Ramirez onto the bench. Tabarez said of Costa Rica: "They have very quick players and a good technical level." -- SPA 23:45 LOCAL TIME 20:45 GMT تغريد
