The death toll in flooding in southern Brazil rose Thursday to 13. More than 500,000 people in 150 cities in the state of Parana were affected by the flooding on the Iguazu River following heavy rain, dpa reported. The river was swelling to flood levels in southern Paraguay and Argentina. Parana state capital Curitiba, which is to host four group-stage games from Monday in the ongoing World Cup, has yet to see flooding.
