A number of officials in the Arab League lauded today the initiative of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in support of Egypt following the announcement of Abdulfattah Al-Sisi's overwhelming winning of his country's presidential elections, describing it as an important message within Arab solitary. In an exclusive press statements to SPA, they cited a package of political messages in the King's cable of congratulation. They termed the support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, for Egypt as a sincere and timely message, vowing that the Arab countries would not lag behind. King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud did not stop short of congratulating Al-Sisi as new president of Egypt but went on to give several political advice he derived from his rich experience as a true leader of his country and a cordial friend to Egypt and its people. They described the King's initiative calling for convening an international donor conference to help Egypt overcome its current economic problem as the most sizable support ever Egypt can get. Moreover, it is a giant step in the path to real Arab solidarity, they said, adding that the Saudi initiative followed by support from Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Palestine and United Arab Emirates has crystallized into a new and real case of Arab solidarity to face the current challenges and difficulties. They are Lebanon's representative in the Arab League Khalid Ziyadah, who is also his country's ambassador to Egypt, AL Assistant Secretary General for Palestine and occupied Arab territories Mohammed Subaih, the Secretary General of Arab Investors Union Dr. Jamal Bayoumi, and the Director of African and Arab African Cooperation Department Sameer Hosni.
