Russia will veto a U.N. Security Council resolution that calls for referring the conflict in Syria to the International Criminal Court (ICC) for investigation of possible crimes against humanity and war crimes, Moscow's ambassador said Wednesday. Almost 60 countries have urged the council to refer the conflict to the ICC, and France has called for a vote on Thursday. But Russia, a permanent Security Council member, has vetoed three previous resolutions on the Syria civil war, and Ambassador Vitaly Churkin told reporters his country would do the same with the French-drafted resolution.
