Vietnamese police arrested 191 people forcausing public disorder and inciting workers to damage propertyduring a wave of anti-China protests, dpa cited local media as reporting Wednesday. Fifteen foreign-owned factories were destroyed and 10 cars weretorched, local media quoted Binh Duong province police chief MajorGeneral Nguyen Duc Thanh as saying. Police said about 100 factories suffered damage, mostly Taiwanese andChinese, the reports said. The protests were triggered by China's deployment of an oil rig inwhat Vietnam considers to be its territory in the South China Sea. The government in Taipei summoned the Vietnamese ambassador Wednesdayover damage to Taiwanese business properties.
