OIC Chief Appoints Special Envoy to Myanmar

Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Iyad bin Amin Madani has appointed former Malaysian foreign minister Tansari Datu Sari Hamid Al-Barr, as Special Envoy to Myanmar.
The envoy will coordinate diplomatic efforts led by OIC with Myanmar's authorities and other regional as well as international partners, to diffuse peaceful coexistence and restore societal harmony, through dialogue and comprehensive conciliation process.
