Protesters demanding the disbanding of militias in the restive Libyan city of Benghazi were shot at, leaving four dead and 16 wounded, dpa cited a medical official as saying Saturday. The victims were fired at overnight outside the February 17 Brigade, following an attempt by demonstrators to storm the headquarters of the militia group, Mohammed al-Deruqi of the Benghazi Medical Centre told the independent Solidarity Press Agency. It was not clear who shot at the protesters. Dozens of Benghazi's residents took to the streets Friday demanding that armed militia groups leave the eastern city. Benghazi, the birthplace of a 2011 uprising that ousted long-time dictator Moamer Gaddafi, has seen frequent attacks by armed groups on security forces and foreign interests. -- SPA 18:10 LOCAL TIME 15:10 GMT تغريد
