British Defense Secretary Philip Hammond received at his office in London today Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Defense minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who is currently on a visit to the United Kingdom. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and reviewed aspects of cooperation between the armed forces of the two friendly countries. The meeting was attended by military officials on the two sides. The British Defense Secretary then held a luncheon party in honor of his Saudi deputy minister and his accompanying delegation. Later, the Saudi deputy minister paid a get-acquainted visit to the Saudi military attaché's office at the embassy in London where he was received by Brig. Gene. Abdullah Al-Zeghabi, the Military Attache, and senior officers at the office. He was briefed on the office's activities. He was accompanied by his official delegation. Then talks were held at the British Defense Office headquarters between the Saudi and British sides. It was co-chaired by Hammond and Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz during which areas of military cooperation that achieve mutual interests of the two sides were reviewed. The meeting was attended by the President of the Saudi armed forces projects Tom McCain, the Director of the armed forces projects at the British Defense Office Major General Ian Morrison, the British military attaché in Riyadh Brig. General Sir Wild and the accompanying delegation of the Saudi Deputy minister.
