Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Abdullatif Al Zayani has denounced Nouri Almalki's repeated allegations of interference by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Iraqi internal affairs. Al Zayani dubbed such claims as baseless, irresponsible and inconsistent with political and diplomatic norms, stressing at the same time that the GCC's countries categorically reject such allegations. Al Zayani added that the GCC states wish that Iraq overcomes its current problems, restores its political stability and national reconciliation.
