Algeria's Bouteflika wins fourth term

Abdelaziz Bouteflika, 77, has been re-elected to a fourth term as Algerian president with 81.53 per cent of the vote,
the interior ministry announced Friday, according to dpa.
Bouteflika's quest for a fourth term, despite suffering a
debilitating stroke last year that left him unfit to campaign, was
highly controversial.
His main challenger, former premier Ali Benflis, accused the state of
rigging Thursday's election.
Only around half the electorate - 51.7 per cent - cast a vote, down
around 23 points on the last election in 2009.
