The Executive Council of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has approved in its 194th session to sign an agreement of partnership with King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAICIID) in Vienna. The agreement aims to establish aspects of cooperation at international levels in order to promote a dialogue between followers of religions and cultures and to enhance understanding and coexistence among human societies, especially among young people. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), KAICIID Secretary General Faisal bin Abdurrahman bin Moamar expressed thanks to and appreciation of the UNESCO for voting in favor of signing partnership with the centre, stressing that this agreement came within the aims and aspirations of the KAICIID to open joint cooperation fields with all international organizations supporting dialogue and peace. He added that the agreement includes main fields for joint action in order to enhance dialogue in education and publishing culture of respecting human rights and joint values through developing educational and scientific implications, supporting institutional cooperation and using media outlets as essential tools to take care of dialogue and mutual understanding.
