The Saudi ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein Hazem bin Mohammed Karkutli paid yesterday a visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's pavilion in Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions. During the visit, he met with Saudi officials of the pavilion and inventors participating in the exhibition and he was briefed on their inventions. Then, Ambassador Karkutli along with the Saudi delegation attended the activities of a ceremony during which prizes to the participants in the Exhibition from different countries , including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia were handed over. The Saudi pavilion won two Certificates of Excellence as the best pavilion in terms of preparation, while a number of Saudi inventors won numerous gold awards in the fields of medicine, information technology and health care. Also, the General Presidency for Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, which also participated in the exhibition, won a gold prize for an invention on servicing the Two Holy Mosques' visitors in terms of collection and disposal of food waste in a way reducing waste and keeping the place cleanly and hygienic.
