(dpa) - Real Madrid and Paris St Germain are well placed to reach the semi-finals of the Champions League after thrashing Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea at home in the quarter-final first legs Wednesday. Gareth Bale, Isco and Cristiano Ronaldo scored for Real, though the 2013 world player then limped off injured. Meanwhile, Paris St Germain beat surprisingly dull Chelsea 3-1, with Ezequiel Lavezzi calling the shots. Lavezzi gave PSG an early lead only for Eden Hazard to level for Chelsea from a penalty. Chelsea defender David Luiz restored PSG's lead by clumsily turning a free-kick from the impressive Lavezzi into his own goal, then fellow Argentine Javier Pastore made it 3-1 in stoppage time. The second legs will be played April 8.
