The Human Rights Council welcomed the role being played by King Abdullah International Center for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue in Vienna, Austria, which is considered as a recognition of the initiative of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud culminated in the establishment of this center. This came in a decision adopted by the Council in its ordinary 25th session which was drafted by Pakistan on behalf of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and Venezuela. The Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at United Nations European headquarters in Geneva, Ambassador Faisal bin Hassan Trad said that this decision is considered as an achievement recorded in favor of the Kingdom's efforts in the field of human rights at the international arena and emphasizes the role played by the initiatives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to bring the language of dialogue instead of fighting and wars, noting that the adoption of this decision confirms the Kingdom's role and weight at the international arena.
