The number of people killed in a month-and-a-half of protests in Venezuela has increased to 37, authorities said Friday, according to dpa. Venezuelan Attorney General Luisa Ortega said a further 559 people have been injured in the protests against the government of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. Authorities were also investigating 81 allegations of human rights violations. Eight of those killed in the violence, which broke out on February 12, were members of the country's security forces.
